We're Jena and Anthony -- an animal-lovin' husband and wife duo who had this crazy little idea to turn a longtime dream into a reality. In March of 2015, we purchased 6 acres of land in southern New Jersey with the intention of turning it into an animal sanctuary, and the rest, as they say, is history!

Ahimsa Acres Sanctuary is truly a labor of love. We both work full-time jobs, in addition to running the sanctuary, and Ahimsa Acres does not generate any additional income for us. We started Ahimsa Acres because we knew the world needed it. We depend solely on volunteers and donations to run the sanctuary, and although we're small, we have big goals. Through our work, we hope to change the lives of not only the animals who reside here, but all those who step foot onto the sanctuary.  Ahimsa Acres is a place of kindness, respect and acceptance for all.
